Chandelier Hung and New Page Added


Finally got the bathroom chandelier assembled, and hung to a nice height. The pre-wired center post wiring was just not quite long enuf, so I had to take it down and splice in an extension. I added that info to the web page I made about putting one together. As far as I know, there is nothing on the web to help a purchaser with the assembly and the included sketchy instructions are often in Italian only.

The light looks good in the bathroom now. The colors are good with the glass mosaic tiles in the shower.

My sister Cary and I were discussing these Venetian chandeliers and both agreed that for the cost, they provide more sparkle and fun than jewelry, don't get lost, are unlikely to get stolen...and therefore a GREAT purchase !

I photographed this small weeping shrub in Pensacola in a front yard. The purple flowers and orange berries were present at the same time on this georgous plant. The same yard had some of the same species but with white flowers that were not nearly as vibrant. It looked great in spite of a very dry summer and it is planted close to salt water. Color Change Paint Job

I spotted another car with one of those awesome paint jobs that change colors are you drive past. I used to see one with a different set of hues parked in from of a local vinyl liner pool company here in Gulf Shores. This is what I'd like on my VW Thing, but I want coral and peach shades so it look like a woman's fingernail polish rack at the nail salon. Anyone know anything about this type of paint job ? What is it called ? What's it cost. Where do you go to get it ?

Miller's Birthday Today

Today would have been Miller's 26th B'Day. Here are some birthday photos from his 11th and his 15th birthday and a few others. In one he has on some of his Grandaddy's vintage Lily Pulitzer pants. In another he was so proud of the size of the catfish that he caught that he was holding the cat for size comparison. He only bleached his hair once. He walked into the room with the cat and put it on his head, but it didn't work out as planned and I always thought it was one of the funniest photos of him I ever took. Miller was the most brilliant, funny, charming, thoughtful, & loving person I have ever known. He was finishing up Grad School and had every pilot's certification possible for his age when he died. There is no telling what he would be doing today had he lived. We all miss him so.
