My New Office Space








I got the key today...took pix of what is already in there. The Entrance, the foyer, the hall that goes to the exercise room , the sauna, the steamroom, and the two desks, refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave that are already in there. What a deal !! I am so excited. Perfect spot for Heather to work on web stuff. She can take a break and go jump on the treadmill or stationary bike--I know I will.

No one has used this office since the day Hurricane IVAN hit. It is a time capsule.

I will return tomorrow with a dustbuster and a plastic file box to empty the filing cabinet of the old files in there and pack them up.

I bought a Zenith flat screen monitor tonight at W-M and will take my own compter there tomorrow. We are looking into having the DSL restored.

I just hope that I get to use it for a long time and it is not a dream !!

Well it is the official beginning of the Lundini Empire. Congratulations. Soon you'll have Lundini HQ in Foley, or somewhere where real estate is more affordable. I want to work for you then. I can hold down the fort while you jet set to europe. Hey, maybe you could get a deal on Fort Morgan. What a cool HQ that would be. Last time I was there it was being not so lovingly restored. Is it owned by the state. Maybe you could get a deal on it. I think it would be cool to live there. There's a book by Nevada Barr set in a fort in Florida - she's a national park ranger and lives on premises. I'll have to find it and send it to you. You'd have plenty of room to expand!

I photographed this small weeping shrub in Pensacola in a front yard. The purple flowers and orange berries were present at the same time on this georgous plant. The same yard had some of the same species but with white flowers that were not nearly as vibrant. It looked great in spite of a very dry summer and it is planted close to salt water. Color Change Paint Job

I spotted another car with one of those awesome paint jobs that change colors are you drive past. I used to see one with a different set of hues parked in from of a local vinyl liner pool company here in Gulf Shores. This is what I'd like on my VW Thing, but I want coral and peach shades so it look like a woman's fingernail polish rack at the nail salon. Anyone know anything about this type of paint job ? What is it called ? What's it cost. Where do you go to get it ?

Miller's Birthday Today

Today would have been Miller's 26th B'Day. Here are some birthday photos from his 11th and his 15th birthday and a few others. In one he has on some of his Grandaddy's vintage Lily Pulitzer pants. In another he was so proud of the size of the catfish that he caught that he was holding the cat for size comparison. He only bleached his hair once. He walked into the room with the cat and put it on his head, but it didn't work out as planned and I always thought it was one of the funniest photos of him I ever took. Miller was the most brilliant, funny, charming, thoughtful, & loving person I have ever known. He was finishing up Grad School and had every pilot's certification possible for his age when he died. There is no telling what he would be doing today had he lived. We all miss him so.
