Another Old Lang Syne

Well, it is now 2006. I should go ahead and put that on about 50 checks in my checkbooks since I will write 2005 and have to cross it out until about July if I don't.

With discussion of the new year approaching, recently a friend who has had some ups and downs this past year sent me this link to a good but melancholy Dan Fogelberg song, Same Old Lang Syne
play the plug-in melody--it is beautiful. (Easiest w/ IE, FireFox have me problems)

2 of my new years resolutions:
learn to dance Hip-Hop
brush my teeth with the other hand

what are yours? Post under comments.

well, i did it--i forced myself to put my new ebay purchase, mtv hip-hop aerobics tape in and i moved the sofa and stumbled around on the floor for a while. Then i switched to a more old fashioned Kathy Smith step aerobics tape i got at goodwill or someplace. It is very warm today but 100% humidity--very foggy (the bamboo loves it)...i have the windows open but am really sweating. I am stopping short of the full tape with the excuse that if i am too sore to do the tape tomoorow i will lose ground on my new found determination to get back in to the groove of pre-hurricane fitness.

I do feel better already--more energized. And boy do i need it--this place is absurd--looks like a bomb went off. If a stranger comes to the door, they might call the dept of human services. Or sanitation dept or looney bin men. Computer parts strewn about everywhere hasn't helped either.

I just saw on tv that Richard Simmons is releasing his newest dvd - Supersweatin Party Off the Pounds, full of great '80's hits, like "Like a Virgin", "Mickey", etc. Don't you think this would be better than hip-hop?
